I decided back in August 2011 that I would get serious about eating less and working out more. I have tried camp and diets and following what someone else wanted me to do and eat before! I then reverted back to my old ways! One thing I have learned about myself which is also parallel to the meaning of my name, is that I don't like to be placed in a box; I don't like being told what to do. I do my own thing, my own way and it has ALWAYS worked for me. I don't think it has failed me yet! I have decided (MOSTLY BECAUSE I AM ONE OF THE PICKIEST EATERS YOU WILL EVER MEET) that I will lose weight my own way. Healthier is not over-eating for me, going to the doctor and checking my blood-pressure (the thing that prompted me to lose weight, it has went down as my weight has gone down), getting advice from my doctor, creating an exercise plan I can stick with and placing it up where I can see it and just eating better portions and only when I am hungry, but it doesn't matter if what I am eating is quote on quote healthy. I am not a veggie person so it would be very hard for me to do anyways. I track myself Sun - Sat. Saturdays are my weigh-in days. I have yet to (knock on wood) have a weigh-in where I gained, I have either stayed the same or lost. I got off track between October and November due to getting used to a job and a move (my weight stayed the same; no fluctuation), but I am really on top of things again since December. I am 20 lbs. down since August and I am very happy. I have 30 lbs. to go.
