8 Week Plan: 1st 2 Weeks!

Hello all!

Sorry I was enjoying the start to my Spring break and did not post yesterday!

I will be very candid about my first 2 weeks of the meals plan. I will not lie to you or hold nothing back. I will be real with you.

Sunday, Feb 24: Excited. Tomorrow's the big day! Start of the 8 Week Plan! I am in the kitchen for a few hours meal prepping. I steamed my chicken breasts, placed Romaine lettuce or spinach leaves in containers, chose my vinaigrette dressing of choice and hot sauce, cooked egg whites, steamed green beans and broccoli and placed them in containers, poured water and protein powder mixture into bottles and packed the actual meals for Monday into a bag complete with utensils.

PLANNING is key to my staying on track. I deemed Sundays as my YOLO (cheat) day and my meal prep (for the week) day.

I went to buy my supplements that I'd take as well from GNC. (GNC brand multi-vitamins- Women's Ultra Mega Active, Dual impact Stack- Intensify X-Treme and Censor for fat burning and energy and body toner. They also help curve appetite.)

I WAS READY!

Monday, Feb 25 - Saturday, Mar 2: Here's my rant. Hope you can keep up. My week in a nutshell. The broccoli with egg whites! YUCKKKK!!! Not meant to go together. I would change that the rest of the week to egg whites and Spinach sauteed together. The rest of it was not very hard accept my cravings were beyond horrible! I had to resist eating every time I had the cravings. The food 6 times a day kept me fuller longer and I felt stuffed. It was hard eating the exact same meal everyday, however. I did give into one craving and that was eating a cookie when they decided to put a several boxes of cookies in front of me at work. I only had half of it and boy was it hard to stop, but I did! (small win. YAY me!) I worked out everyday doing gym work and Pilates and actually got more of my friends asking to workout with me - SCORE! Everyone thought I was crazy for this meal plan. Toward the end of the week I was starting to believe this lol. This week I made the declaration that I would cut out drinking (OH NO! lol) and end or at least lessen eating out accept on Sundays for YOLO or when I have not prepped my meals. I was going strict mania on my butt! I was even counting calories. I was doing great to start! I even worked out while sick. That Monday I woke with a serious eczema flair up. Had to get a shot. Felt horrible, but I got that workout in! That Friday, I woke up and I was sick (throat ache, chills and the whole nine). I slept and barely ate, but I still made myself workout. BOY WHAT A WEEK! Ahhhhh! I stepped on the scale even though I only planned to weigh in every 2 weeks. I had lost 8 pounds in this one week! WOOOOHOOOO! I definitely felt like that wouldn't have happened since that week was such a drag.

BTW my YOLO meals was country fried steak, southern mac & cheese, garlic bread and french fries from Chili's. I only ate half this day, but ended up eating it for leftovers the next day even though I had planned to throw it out only because I had barely ate that whole Monday and needed something quickly when I got home.

Week 1: Semi-success1

Sunday, Mar 3 - Sat Mar 9: Still sick most of the week and started to feel better toward the end of the week. Did not meal prep so my meals were kinda all of over the place, but I still managed to eat close to my diet for most of the week and kinda terrible throughout the weekend. I did not eat as often as I was supposed to that whole week. I worked out some of the days, but not all 6 days I was supposed to. I discovered a love for "Up, up, Down, down" burpees! (CRAZY I KNOW!!! esp. cause I HATE BURPEES!) Want to know what those are then click here. I at out or bought in some meals to work and school or went without eating for almost whole days. It was horrible. I ate a piece of cake to reward myself on the good job I did my first day teaching college undergraduates! :) YAY! I counted it as a YOLO, but then I ended up having several YOLO meals that I tried to not over-indulge in Chipotle (salad- chick and hot sauce only) 2 or 3Xs, Einstein Bagels (salad- chicken and dressing only), Fresco Deli- Tuna on Romaine lettuce), Taco Bell- (new cool ranch taco and the cheese Doritos Los tacos, Volcano nachos), homemade burger and french fries, pizza rolls, hot pocket.

AND NO not all of these were in the same day, but they were in the same week!

This was a horrible week for the most part. This week made the last week look like a success. OMG! (I told you I'd be honest!) :(

There is a lesson in this week for you all that I already knew and it has been proven this past week: IF YOU DON'T PLAN, THEN YOU PLAN TO FAIL! Period.

During this week I found out that my funds for groceries would be very limited, I realized certain aspects of my week made it almost impossible for some parts of my plan to be executed, I also found that eating the same thing everyday for 8 weeks is HARD OMG! I want it and it is helpful, but jeez! Today, I will be tweaking my plan. It is a little to strict for my taste, plus I don't have the funds anymore to buy the items I need often. I will let you know the deets once I work them out. Hopefully I can do that tonight since I am now on Spring Break and only have to focus on working, sleeping, hobbies, working and BLOGGING! :)

BTW something wonderful happened this past week as well. I ordered these below featured items from Blogilates. :) They came in the mail Monday, March 4 and I was totally excited! I took a pic in the items and the BEST THING ON EARTH happened when I tagged my fitness idol, Cassey, in the photo on twitter... SHE TWEETED ME!!!!!!! SO MAJ, RIGHT???!!!! I leaped out of the bed sick and barely could breath! I was beyond excited! And she told me I was "Looking good!!! " OMGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!! Made my whole week!

Week 2: I am telling you it was an OK week in spite of it all.

Since my 8 Week Plan has had rocky start and I figured my end date was odd, I decided to extend my plan one more week to just finish out all of April! I can't wait to see how I look then! Will I be bikini ready? We'll see! Regardless, I plan to have a photo shoot as my BIG reveal, so look out for it! :) This will be just in time for my trip to Hong Kong in May!!! EXCITEMENT! *Dances

See I told you I was not holding back! Pictures to come and snippets of my exercises as well. Here are some I can upload now.

Bought a new heart rate monitor. Have not figured it all out yet. Supposed to be similar to the Polar calorie counting heart rate monitor, but cheaper. Hope so! We'll see.
