Eating Clean

Means...
  • Eating foods that are as close to the ground as possible which means eating foods in their most natural state...
  • Eating LOTS fresh fruits and veggies
  • Eating whole grains and lean proteins
  • Doesn't require counting calories
  •  Not eating processed or pre-packaged foods
  • The less ingredients the better
  • If you can't pronounce it (the ingredient), don't eat it!
  • Frozen fruit is better than canned fruit, but the actual fruit is BEST!
  • Have a balance of your protein and grains on your plate.
  • Whole grains are best and are most often brown such as "brown rice."
  • Avoid sugar, salt, high calorie items, fried foods and alcohol as they are wasted calories.
  • If you must drink a juice opt for 100% "Apple" Juice over other such as "100% Juice" that has no specification, is higher in sugars and artificial flavoring.
  • "Grill, broil or steam your meats."
  • Avoid sodas.
  • Choose water or tea ... non-sweetened
  • Avoid fast food
  • Get fats from nuts instead
  • Eat 3-6 small, balanced, well-portioned meals a day with no more 4-6 ingredients.
  • Avoid overeating. Eat slowly to notice when you are actually full.
  • Snack on "nuts, low-fat or fat free dairy and fruits and vegetables."

  • Great benefits.
